who needs rock n roll when we have chillwave?
"I just don’t understand what they’re going for with this record." That's not surprising, given that you are hearing specific songs by Wolfmother & Muse in "Die" instead of getting an overall vibe of Zeppelin and Sabbath. This is a 70s album, Girls-style. Riffs similar to the one that opens "Die" are pretty common in hard rock. To clarify, now - I'm not calling into question your taste, but the limited scope of your references.
"dad-rock in the autumn sensibilities" that may be the worst descriptive phrase I've ever read about not only Ryan Adams, but all music in general.
Miss You sounds a whole lot like Pieces, only nowhere near as good. It was really lazy of them to put it in the #2 slot on the album.
"dad-rock in the autumn sensibilities' just stop writing.
"Also the idea of The Rapture not playing “Sister Saviour” or “W.A.Y.U.H.” live is a huge bummer." So true. But I'll still be there.
"I just don’t understand what they’re going for with this record." It's a 70s rock record, Girls-style. It makes sense that this isn't clicking with you, though, since you hear Muse & Wolfmother in "Die" instead of Sabbath and Zeppelin.
2010 for me was Dance Yrself Clean
**Peter, Bjorn & John - Second Chance** i wish I had participated in the nomination process. the fact that this song is already being featured on beer commercials shouldn't count against it.
