I think this is an interesting point. It is easy to over simplify race relations by saying people in the north love the race, but hate the people and the south love the people but hate the race (you can interchange north and south with rich and poor, or liberal and conservative), but this may actually be a case of Paula Deen just being a terrible person first and foremost with be a bigot second.
I love the Lighting Lord... I was referring to the Wedding at Kings Landing as the Purple Wedding. To be honest I didn't care much about the Starks. It you look at the way GRRM wrote these books, he is basically Ramsay Bolton. He takes enjoyment out of torturing his characters and pulling them limb from limb. The particular cruelty to the Stark family is especially demented because he is basically destorying a family for being principled and trying to play by some rule or honor. TSOFI is a world where you don't have to feel bad for taking enjoyment in deceit and treachery
I can't wait for the Purple Wedding and Lady Stoneheart... from this point on things just go off the rails. Would this be considered off topic in Russia?
I thought the first few episodes of AR were hard to follow and not that good, but it really takes off around the fourth or fifth episode. I really liked DiBre. Also the mortgage joke "..... and then we have it" cracked me up.
I don't understand the why people cover "Heroes". It is such an incredible song and I have never heard anyone do a cover that is interesting or noteworthy in anyway If anything pay homage to the song. like "All I Want"
