It's pretty hilarious I think. Matt's drumming skills are pretty lousy and on Meg White's level. But the look on his face is really funny. And that show host isn't aware of anything. Obviously she doesn't do much background research on the music they have in the show.
You can't stay influential for 20 years not even when you're called Pearl Jam. We can't always expect them to release the next "Ten". We all know including PJ themselves that will never happen. I haven't listened to the album myself yet but I'm not expecting an instant classic. I like their music and if it's a decent PJ rocker I'm happy. And what from what I read that's exactly what it is.
I understand Novoselic's and Grohl's standpoint. Then of course if Courtney Love is in charge of these things nothing good can come out of it. She's always looking for attention one way or the other and money when she runs out of booze and drugs.
I was just listening to his new album on my way to work this morning and love the first part of the album so far. Very talented musician with very nice voice and good song writing.
I was there in Amsterdam and it was an awesome show. It rocked from start 'til end. Brilliant musicians playing one of the best rock shows I've ever seen. And I get to see them again this weekend on the Lowlands festival!
It sounds like this was an awesome show. Would love to hear those songs. Fingers crossed on them coming over to the Lowlands festival over here in two weeks!
I like the first couple of Radiohead albums best. I think it's nice of Thom Yorke to pay his respect to Harry Patch and remind us of WW1. It was a horrible war.
I admire Jack White's talent. I just hope his solo single is better than his Dead Weather project.
I'm listening to the song right now and my first thoughts were exactly that: Dr. Who. At least it's better than "United States of Eurasia". On first listen it's not bad but not great either.
Besides all the fun some people can have with mud I prefer my festivals a little dryer. I hate it when after a while anything you touch is either muddy or soaking wet. Would've loved to see Tool though.
Great stage, great light show, very impressive screen. $40MM very well spent.
That drummer sure is active for someone with a fever. I just can't figure out if I like them or not. Maybe too much pumpkins to it. The singer looks like he could join Kings of Leon.
I like that song better than "The Fixer". Artwork is pretty nice. The avacado wasn't bad either. I like avacado. I was hoping for a mango this time.
He may be right on the subsidizing part but I'm not sure if LiveNation is so kind. What he's trying to say is that Bono is a hypocrit always talking about starving people and honest trade and then burning that much money on their tour. Not a very strong argument. My parents used the same argument to let me finish my plate when I was a kid. Didn't buy it then either.
Cool video. Like their psychedelic ghost images. They should look like that on stage in their upcoming tour.
Can't wait to get my hands on the new album. Homme had a good influence on their sound. Sniff, they grow up so fast!
Yes, I've listened to Queen. A lot since I own all their albums. And I agree that it sounds a lot like them. I loved everything Muse did so far but I'm not really digging this right now. It seems they've taken the rock opera thing a bit too far this time. But it's only one song so I'll wait for the full album.
I think I have to give it a couple of listens for it to sink in. Right now this happy poppy sound doesn't really work for me. I miss the heavy grooves and riffs. Interesting to see how the album turns out.
Get well soon Adam! Hang in there and we hope to see you soon.
Pretty good advise from Trent. It has some useful tips. Some are pretty obvious of course but times have changed and the more bands can do without money hungry record companies the better.
