Does anyone else think it is kinda sad how his parents just sorta laugh off his crappy attitude? Kid gonna grow up all CONSUMERIST. Teach that kid at a young age how to properly (begrudgingly) accept crappy, impersonal gifts he didn't want so that he is EQUIPPED for the many crappy, impersonal gifts he will receive in his adult life. #giftcards
I love how Yahoo puts a commercial after the trailer.
"I just watched what I was hoping to see when I clicked play but oh what is this? A commercial you say? Why yes I would like to stick around for the advertisement please." -You
And the #1 weather moment of 2010 is: That one day in Philadelphia when the sun was out and the breeze was light enough to lift a few skirts, but not strong enough to do any property damage.
I think a big part of the problem with the Simpsons today (hahaha STATE OF THE SIMPSONS ADDRESS GUYS) is maybe that the people writing it are people like myself who grew up watching the Simpsons and due to their respect of a thing that has been going on for so long therefore generate this really watered down emulation instead of making it their own. We don't need the Simpsons to weigh in on every internet fad that pops up, we need it to have that smart, quotable element that it has been missing for years. In the old eps the most quotable lines weren't always the ones that made you laugh. The days of "Ow my eyeball" are over. They just emulate old Simpsons as far as scripting goes, and then they throw way too many guest stars into the mix. Arguably most of the guest star eps from back in the day were bad, and around season 10 they just became way too commonplace.
