Remember how I made a few comments about the relative Britishness of NME’s 50 Greatest Albums Of The ’00s? Well, Q’s 50 Best Albums Of 2009 takes that Britishness and raises NME a pound of bangers and mash. (Thanks for the tip, Gray and SORRY FOR THE DELAY.) The year that was… Folks have been so focused on the decade that the only ’09 lists of note we’ve posted up so far come from fairly divergent sources, Amazon Editors (aka Amazon’s salespeople) and Decibel (aka the list without Animal Collective), so there’s still no clear champion of ’09. That said, this number one may make surprise you. Then again, maybe not, especially if you take all my British ribbing as a clue.
