TEEN - Prisoners Feat Ben Greenberg

Brooklyn unites as TEEN link up with Ben Greenberg of the Men for “Prisoners.” The track is originally by LA psych-folk band Rain Parade who were a part of the formative Paisley Underground scene in the 1980s. TEEN and Greenberg don’t stray too far from the track’s origins, perhaps even psych-ing it out a bit more with even noodlier riffs and adding an extra layer of lushness. It also sounds a beat faster than the original, sort of like Evan Dando’s cover of Big Star track “The Ballad Of El Goodo” — deeply indebted to the source material with just a kick of extra quickness to make it his own. Check out “Prisoners” below.

TEEN’s Carolina EP is out 5/28 via Carpark.
