It’s not always the easiest to navigate, but it’s always a great excuse to plan a trip to NYC: indie rock’s fall break for the CMJ Marathon is fast approaching, so book a hotel or a friend’s couch and bring some padded shoes/bank accounts. You can be reasonably certain most every small-to-mid level act that’s made your bloglines of late will have a showcase or two, but some highlights from the initial list include A Place To Bury Strangers, Amazing Baby, Beach House, Broken Social Scene, Cool Kids, Crystal Castles, Gang Gang Dance, High Places, Jay Reatard, King Khan & The BBQ Show, Lee “Scratch” Perry, Lykke Li, Marissa Nadler, Marnie Stern, Matthew Dear, Miles Bejamin Anthony Robinson, Roisin Murphy, School Of Seven Bells, They Might Be Giants, Vivian Girls, and Yo Majesty. The list will get unmanageably big, and yet we shall keep you posted on it. In the meantime, you can refresh this for the latest.
