St. Vincent

St. Vincent’s much-loved new self-titled album is out in the world now, and now a few associated tracks are finding their way to the internet. The zippy and lively “Del Rio,” for instance, is a B-side on the European “Digital Witness” single and a bonus track on the Japanese edition of the album, and now some helpful soul has shared it by pointing a camera at his or her turntable. The audio isn’t great, but you get the idea. The song is probably not about this guy, but I’m going to pretend it is anyway. Check it out below.

St. Vincent is out 2/25 on Republic/Loma Vista.

  1. why do the japanese always get the bonus tracks?

    • If I recall correctly, I once read somewhere that because it’s much cheaper in Japan to buy imported album than a local one, bonus tracks are added as incentive for people to buy from the local distributors.

  2. you know instead of “his or her” you can say “their” right?

you know that “male” and “female” aren’t the only genders right?

    • ‘their’ works in this case, but what if the pronoun wasn’t possessive? what would the correct pronoun be? I’m genuinely curious.

As the person who uploaded the video, I can confirm that I am indeed male.
