The 2013 Golden Globe Nominations

By Gabe Delahaye / December 13, 2012

It’s the most wonderful time of the year! No, not the holidays, you silly idiot, it’s GOLD GLOBE NOMINATIONS TIME! If the Golden Globes themselves are a third-rate awards ceremony in an over-crowded field of awards ceremonies, doled out by the ever-mysterious and seemingly-illegitimate foreign press association, convened in a sad-looking hotel ballroom where even the nominees are force-fed liquor in order to endure the whole thing, then just imagine how exciting this part is when it’s not even the actual awards yet! It’s just people talking about who may or may not get an award later! Could it be TOO exciting?! Keep people with hear conditions away from the entertainment media-complex!

Then again, Tina Fey and Amy Poehler are hosting this year instead of that godless Ricky Gervais, and they’re cool. Also, there were good things this year and they are up for awards right there with the bad things (The Newsroom for BEST drama series? Best? Are you spelling that right?). So let’s take a look at these nominations because what else are we going to do? Look at this bunch of golden retrievers playing in the snow? NO. FOCUS. WE ONLY HAVE ONE JOB, AND WE ALMOST NEVER DO IT, SO PAY ATTENTION. So let’s check out these cool nominations ( and then let’s all meet back here on Sunday, January 13th to watch The Golden Globe Awards Show. See you then. No blogging until then. Enjoy the time off. God I wish. FOCUS! NOMINEES!
