Cut Copy - Where I'm Going

Australian synth/dance-pop trio Cut Copy are at work on their self-produced (and self-pronounced) Tusk-influenced third album. The rhythmic, anthemic (“yeah, yeah, yeah, woo”), smeary, and psychedelic “Where I’m Going”’s likely appearing on said record. Much of it reminds me of the Beach Boys-via-E6 (on an electro kick).

You can download it for the price of an email address below.

  1. Great having them back!! This one hit me right away and just might be the most accessible tune of theirs to date. Their challenge has been to get that live energy in the recording studio, and hoping they nailed it this time. Still singing this one to myself :-)

  2. I really hate your widget. It plays way to loud on my computer and it has no fucking volume control

  3. ahh, this is so great! it’s kind of everything I loved in Passion Pit last summer.

  4. I’m loving this trend of “wooo”s and “yeah”s and handclaps. Though it’s got that electro feel, there’s also some humanity coming back into pop. Unless, the handclaps are electronically generated. Then it doesn’t count. ;)

  5. Have they been hanging out with Tame Impala?
