According to Billboard.com, Jack Johnson’s Brushfire Records is set to release a tribute to the posthumously adored British singer-songwriter, with turns from Eddie Vedder, Norah Jones, Dave Grohl, and laid back Jack. It’ll also feature that Heath Ledger version of “Black Eyed Dog”. Title and release date TBA. (Also, José and the Books’s Drake take is now streaming at the Books’ MySpace.)

That sounds pretty interesting… i might be into that, as long as i can skip dave grohl.
I bet all the great artists on Brushfire Records will be on it. Facetiously yours.
I just heard Nick Drake in a trailer for a movie, i think it was Revolutionary Road or something
I can hear his influence on Grohl’s music.
The thought of a Nick Drake tribute album makes me happy…
The thought of these artists being those featured on the album makes me sad…
Thanks for the roller coaster ride, Stereogum…
