In November Bruce Springsteen will release The Promise, a huge collection of unreleased music and tour footage packaged in a reproduction of Springsteen’s song notebooks. The Promise documents Springsteen and his band around the time he wrote and released his 1978 album Darkness On The Edge Of Town. Springsteen put up a stream of an unreleased song from those session, as well as a clip of the documentary. The Promise: The Darkness on the Edge of Town Story is out 11/16 via Columbia. The Promise documentary will air on HBO 10/7.
