The Black Angels made their network TV debut on Letterman last night. A couple notable things about their appearance: There was a monster mask hanging from singer Alex Maas’s mic stand. Guitarist Christian Bland’s t-shirt for The Shed BBQ in Austin got a shout out from David Letterman. And Paul Shaffer loved “Telephone” so much he played it as the show’s outro, too. Watch below:

  3. It almost seems like their making fun of them, did anyone else pick up on that? Regardless angels rule, you can stream the entire album off of their myspace. I’m not so much into the obvious throwback songs like this one but i’m glad their moving towards making more straight forward songs just because im curious what will come out of it.
