In their recent Progress Report, Pete & Jof said things like “mournful” and “bleak” in reference to their forthcoming The Law Of The Playground LP’s lyrics, descriptors nobody first associates with TBLLT. And here they’re on about their “puppy powers” and “bags of marbles” to the stomp of their smiley indie pop, but as it goes with this band, there’s a bit more to the story than childhood imagery and a happy tune. Oh that makes sense. You post boy least likely to, but not Radio Moscow’s new single “Broke Down.” Thats legit though……
This is probably one of my top 10 most-anticipated albums of the year. They’re one of those bands I feel I can trust to deliver a quality record. So far, so good.
