Rave On Buddy Holly

As you can see from the album art above, the Black Keys are in good company on this tribute CD. The duo covered “(Ummm, Oh Yeah) Dearest” a song that appeared on the Juno soundtrack, and has been featured on a few posthumous Buddy Holly compilations. Check out Black Keys’ easygoing take below:

Rave On Buddy Holly is out 6/28 via Fantasy/Concord.

  1. Pretty good line-up of artists they have.

  2. All respectable artists. Oh wait, how did Kid Rock slip into that line-up?

  3. Damnit. For some reason, when I saw the title saying the black keys cover Buddy Holly, I thought it was them covering the Weezer song. Now that you’ve confused me and I was expecting something that, can they please actually cover the song now? haha

  4. Only artist missing is Marshall Crenshaw!!! Perhaps if they did a volume 2??

  5. There are a lot of terrible artist on there. There are some okay ones though and like one or two good ones.
