The Flaming Lips Prefuse 73 Colored Vinyl

The Flaming Lips’ vinyl EP with Prefuse 73 made it to Guestroom Records yesterday, and to the internet shortly afterwards (via Psych Explorations of the Future Heart). That’s the “colored freak-out” vinyl above, courtesy of Wayne Coyne’s Twitter account. If you’ll recall, Guestroom Records is the same Oklahoma City record store that Wayne Coyne visited when he dropped off the band’s USB-stuffed gummi skulls. As far as I know, it isn’t available in any other record stores.

The songs range from noisy and chaotic to gentle and drifting to just noise. Listen:

“The Super Moon Made Me Want To Pee”

“Heavy Star Moving…”

“Be Like That…That…That”

“Guillermo’s Bolero”
