L.A. producer Nosaj Thing offers compellingly deep, stuttered, and fractured compositions. You’ll find various examples on his recently released Drift full-length or via “FWD,” his brief, enjoyable contribution to the forthcoming Beat Dimensions 2 compilation. It reminds me of the Knife diced up and then stripped down. Feels weird to be posting it in the morning when it’s so clearly there to soundtrack a dizzy moment in your tonight.

Beat Dimensions 2 is out 10/6 via Rush Hour. Nosaj Thing’s Drift is out via Alpha Pup.

This kid is for real. Can’t wait to see him open for Fever Ray in October. He is great live!
