We’ve been keeping an eye the Black Angels for a good while now, but the band’s dark, Texan psychedelia feels especially sinister on “You On The Run.” The loping, garage-fuzzed, Eastern-tinged track comes from the aptly titled Directions To See A Ghost, which follows 2006′s Passover just in time for actual Passover. The quintet definitely digs the Velvet Underground and the Doors. If you’re a fan of amped and smeary rock ‘n’ roll of the not-so-cheerful sort, you should definitely dig in.

Directions To See A Ghost is out 5/13 on Light In The Attic.
