16 years! It’s been a long time to wait. For some of you it’s probably been a lifetime. All that ends this fall, though, confirmed via tonight’s news that’s caused music bloggers countrywide to faint face first into their keyboards: My Bloody Valentine will curate a New York edition of the estimable All Tomorrow’s Parties concert series with an absolutely absurd lineup for one weekend this September. In addition to MBV’s headlining set, ATP’s claiming full album recreations from Built To Spill (Perfect From Now On), Tortoise (Millions Now Living Will Never Die), and Meat Puppets (Meat Puppets II), and just regular old sets from Shellac, Mogwai, Polvo, Fuck Buttons, Autolux, the Drones, Low, Wooden Shjips, Edan, Thee Silver Mount Zion Orchestra, and we’ll wait for you to regain consciousness.

OK. So as mentioned, this is a one weekend sort of party — Sept. 19-21st at the Kutshers Country Club in Monticello, N.Y. (100 miles from NYC), to be precise — but Billboard and The Daily Swarm report that MBV’s planning out “six to eight additional U.S. cities” at which to gaze. Tickets for APW go on sale Friday 4/25 at ATPFestival.com. Commence freakout.

Q- How Do I Get To The Site?

The site is less than a 2 hour drive from New York City.

Alternatively you can get a Bus from the NY Port Authority Bus Terminal to Monticello. There are many buses throughout the day and it costs approx $58 return.

This service is run by shortline, there is a link to timetable below.

Sorry, this is embarrassing. $375+ to see a band that put out 2 good albums that fucking long ago? Good luck & good riddance. Any moron that knows the LPs’ knows that shit is going to be a massive drone live. It’s bedroom rock, plain & simple

Just the other day I was daydreaming about Tortoise playing ‘Millions…’ in its entirety. I wish I could go….hopefully some good tapers will be there!
