Its depend which version of "Stairway to Heaven" and "Comfortably Numb" you are talking about . I think when people are talking about "Comfortably Numb" they often have a picture of the LIVE version of Pink Floyd tour "P.U.L.S.E" or "Delicate Sound of Thunder" in their eyes. I have listen Comfortable number studio version it is hardly a 6 .30 minutes long and most of the part is not covered with guitar . Moreover guitar solo played at the end is not so long whereas if you see the LIVE record ,guitar work is far more accomplished , energetic and crazy especially guitar solo played by David Gilmour at the end . But this list include only those songs which are recorded in studio. And when it comes to studio version "Comfortably Numb" is a well written and composed track but a average guitar song. "Shine on your crazy diamond, Money, Time, Interstellar overdrive are much better guitar piece of work by Pink Floyd in studio. Same goes in the case of "Stairway to Heaven". After listening Led Zeppelin "The Song Remains the Same" concert i though it should have been easily in top 5 but when i listen the studio version of "Stairway to heaven" i got, it is okay where it is . By the way i partly agree with you on "Freebird". It should be way too high but not in top 10 in my opinion.
Beatles Will never be overplayed and boring as long as the rock n roll exist. You may have listen only their earlier stuff. Listen to their albums in late 60s like Revolver, Sgt: Pepper's lonely hears club band, White album, Abbey road. They sound much more refreshing , energetic and influential than today bands. Today modern rock music is all about what they created 40 years ago. They set the bar for other bands to emerge in popularity . And if you still believe, they are overplayed and boring then nobody gives a shit about your stupid lame argument.

Not MJ's music but his dancing style appeals to the lot of young kids. I live in India and here many dancer try to copy his dancing style but nobody influenced by his music, I think artists like MJ AND Madonna ruined our pop musical culture as they influenced many bad artists like Justin Bieber, Pitbull, Chris brown , Ushers , Britney spear who is not doing even a shit for our music and just feed to the masses whereas Beatles inspired many good artists in modern music such as Coldplay, Oasis, Blur, James blunt, Radiohead, Pink Floyd and continue to emerge as biggest milestone in music history. Today acclaimed music is pretty much inspired by the artists like Beatles, Beach boys, bob dylan, rolling stones . Don't get me wrong Micheal Jackson is a great artist but musically he is not even come close to the place where Beatles is. This crap list has been already rated him too high.

agree rolling stone list way better than this fucking shit or any other music list however i ,m not fully agree with them some artists like pink floyd 51# , Radiohead 73# should be higher but overall list is great at least they have an artists who really deserve to be a greatest artist ever.
