I've been reading Infinite Jest for about a month now. Well, I guess I started reading it about a month ago. I'm on page 107 and have no motivation whatsoever to keep going. I remember someone telling me that it really picks up around 250, but that is so many pages to read before I'm interested.
I hope the fun isn't gone.
I hope there is at least one song where Alec just let's his voice go crazy. Diggin' these new songs though.
Agreed. It was good but dragged on a bit.
Everything he does he is 100% involved with. I love that. Shows he truly cares about the music he is making.
Lady GaGa because she needs to go away
Or perhaps the album is just THAT good?

Yes. Yes you are.
Based on the list on contributors alone this sounds incredible.
I don't know. I had no idea that Julian wasn't around for the recording until after I heard the album, and I still got the feeling that they were very disconnected.
All snark aside, I just don't get the appeal of this band.
I think we will get more music, just not as soon as everyone is saying. Similar to In Rainbows, I think that they will release something else when the vinyl ships.
The same thing happened to me with Morning Mr. Magpie. Didn't like it the first time and now it's one of the standouts for me.
This is one of my favorites off the album.
Ladder Song is one of the best songs Connor has ever written.
Really great writeup. I do agree that at times the lyrics can come off as a bit pretentious, but for the most part I think Arcade Fire are really genuine. For me, the album isn't as great as Funeral, but better than Neon Bible. I disagree when you say that the album feels vacant, but again, agree to disagree. All in all I do feel that the album was over-hyped but is still been pretty great. Keep up the good work with these double takes.
I do realize this. Even so it doesn't make "Who, who the fuck got your pussy all re-upholstered? (Yeezy re-upholstered my pussy) " any more enjoyable to listen to, but hey, that's just my opinion.
The misoogyny was the main reason I didn't think MBDTF was worth a 10.0 - The whole Chris Rock part was unlistenable and I know I wasn't the only one who felt this way. Still love his music though.
The link now has the entire (ep?) at the bottom of the page!
Really loving this song.
Paradise By the Dashboard Light - Meat Loaf !
Sufjan at 74 is a joke.
Blind Pilot have been talking about a new album. Not sure if there is anything official though.
Cinders! Such a fun song.

James Taylor - James Taylor No doubt about it
Watching the Wheels!!!
