While Coulter is basically the antithesis of everything a human being should be and strive for, she is definitely talented. She has been trolling way before the internet, and she's very good at it. Though you'd think people would see through it and catch on eventually.
I don't like her or anything she is about or produces (she is and always was wildly overrated as an "artist"), but she seems legitimately mentally unstable. Like, a danger to herself and others.
Yeah this was legitimately cringeworthy. It was like a really bad youtube parody video done by high school teachers, but with the SNL budget. Oof. A swing and a miss.
Bingo. I think you hit the nail on the head. Talented producer who has a real skill for making great pop songs, really lackluster and boring performing artist in his own right. Heavy-handed and insufferable indeed.

I couldn't agree with you more. I thought it was a downright comical performance, and um, not powerful. Just an absolute dud of a song, and somehow as boring and a song as it is, not performed that well either. This is an extremely, extremely low bar we are setting if we consider this a powerful performance. It's just.....lame. Powerfully lame in fact.
I get the dude is trying to send a positive message here, but yeah, this played like a bad high school talent show performance.
Drake is a natural on SNL. I legitimately like him better as a comedic performer than as a musician.
Mother of god though, what was that car rental sketch? I'm not sure there has been a cast member less funny than Jay Pharaoh. Oh cool! Another character with a weird voice and strange accent. My grandmother has better comedic timing.
Agreed, that video itself isn't an issue to me, but if they still release the video, then all this ultimately is is a gross yet successful PR ploy and marketing attempt to get attention for their new video, despite the apology. The only real way to be sincere about the apology is to abandon the project altogether, because it failed.

Also, they kind of need to not release the video considering all of this was to drum up attention for said video, otherwise all the apologizing is just an empty gesture.
The funny part about every new cringeworthy Banks story is how it is prefaced by her talent. Where is that talent again? As far as I've ever been able to tell, she's just another batshit insane and hateful person on twitter who happened to put out a mildly interesting single 5 years ago. And she's not even a very good troll on twitter.
