i knew Lena was divisive (to put it mildly) but holy shit at the comments on FB, you'd think she agreed to tour with Milo and Richard Spencer...
all 3 songs we've heard from this album are better than Back to the Shack, though
not a question but the key change in Holy Shit is fuckin sublime.
what's the deal with this band? came out of nowhere, no bona fides, debut on a major. slightly above average music paired with glowing headlines. real sus.
thanks for addressing the wackness of both "ryan IMPROVED this pop trash!" and "ryan RUINED this perfect pop masterpiece (also he's an old white dude)!"
a great week for people who were in college in 2005
Not bad but it sounds like it could have been on either of their last 2 albums. Was hoping for a bit of an evolution.
no kidding, it's fantastic. probably could've taken out that schmaltzy "Mother's Child" song and replaced it with this one.
Great list. Makes me sad that I moved to NYC right around the time this scene was evaporating but I suppose if I had been around for it I'd be pushing 40 now (yikes!).
she just tweeted that she scrapped the album 7 months ago. i was never under the impression that the other music she was working on was going to sound like Go anyhow. seems like it was made pretty clear that the song is an outlier as it was written for a popstar.
more curious about who wrote the song that plays over the end credits. i think the show is alright, overall. got picked up for a second season already.
+ David Hayter (Solid Snake) voiceover at the beginning!
i read this blog post twice to make sure i didn't miss some info... what does this jewelry have to do with drugs? am i gonna have to google "kandi" just to understand this post? (happy friday)

son... At Mount Zoomer is the best WP album and Spoon's last album was kind of a snoozer.
indeed... he just seems more and more fickle about creating "pop" music nowadays. i feel like he kinda phoned it in on Together.
gonna assume that "Spidyr" is a "cover" of Dan's Swan Lake song of the same name. hope there are a few Dan originals besides that tho.
AbsolutePunk may be more your speed.
