This Week In Movie Trailers, You Guys

Boom boom boom, now let me hear you say trailers. TRAILERS! There’s some good ones this week, boys. There’s another Spider-Man trailer, which, I mean, right? But more importantly there is the Jeremy Renner Bourne Legacy reboot, high-five, and also the Steve Carrell end of the world romantic comedy. Soooooo, yeah, NOT A BAD HAUL. (Someone please make a haul video about these trailers and post it in the comments. Thanks.)

Seeking a Friend for the End of the World

If you will allow me to indulge myself for a moment, which I have never done before, and I think we can all agree that “self-indulgent” is the last word anyone would EVER use to describe anything on Videogum, but I was kind of annoyed by all the production update news on this movie for very specific reasons that I’m not going to share with you because they’re none of your business, but mysteries are fun, so you’re allowed to guess and/or search for the Presidents’ Book of Secrets on this one, but just know that I was NOT happy about this movie being made. But this trailer actually looks pretty good and funny. I’m on board now. Still annoyed for the reasons that I cannot disclose to you, which makes this a very important paragraph to write and publish in a public forum. But good trailer. OK.

The Bourne Legacy

YES. THAT’S ALL I HAVE TO SAY. YES. I DO THINK THAT WEIRD SHOULDER PUNCH HE DOES WHERE HE JUST PUNCHES YOU WITH THE FRONT OF HIS SHOULDER IS KIND OF FUNNY BUT I’LL LET IT SLIDE AND THIS LOOKS GREAT. I’ve always said that the other entries in the Bourne series were great, but one of the main problems was the obvious inconsistencies in Treadstone and if we could just have a Treadstone without the inconsistencies then LOOK OUT.

The Amazing Spider-Man

Fact: this is the new Amazing Spider-Man trailer.

Osombie: The Axis of Evil Dead

Ugh. Fuck this. The only way this movie could be worse is if Osama Bin Laden was a vampire with a crush on a moody teenager.

Take This Waltz

“Imagine Blue Valentine if it wasn’t a total fucking nightmare. Now double it.” (Note: I really enjoyed Blue Valentine. In part BECAUSE it was a total fucking nightmare.) This looks cute. Also Sarah Polley directed it? The lady from SPLICE?! Ooooh, make me feel Splice!
