Fleetwood Mac recently gave 1982’s multi-platinum Mirage a deluxe reissue. The new expanded edition features outtakes, rarities, and live performances, including early versions of several album tracks, two songs that didn’t make the cut — “If You Were My Love” and “Smile At You” — and a previously unreleased cover of Fats Domino’s “Blue Monday.” Among the early recordings is a previously unheard take on “Oh Diane.” The bass is heavy on the early version with the bouncy synths much lower in the mix, and it’s about 20 seconds longer than the original with a slower pace moving through sections.
