Gucci Mane is gearing up to drop The Return Of East Atlanta Santa, his third full-length album since coming home in May. We’ve already heard the Quavo-assisted “Floor Seats,” and today Guwop returns with Chris Brown and a rare Akon appearance on “Moon Walk.”
It seems like Gucci is getting back to that outlandish creativity of earlier albums/mixtapes, as the song’s concept is about his bed game being so proper that he makes women sing and dance like Michael Jackson. This means lines like: “Don’t matter if you black or ‘nilla,” “I’m so hot I got Elvis Presley’s precious daughter,” and, “Taking all kind of prescription pills like Michael Jack I’m super geekin’.” It veers into creepy territory, especially on some of Gucci’s wilder lines and Akon’s hook, and Brown makes pretty much anything he hops on creepier by default. But it is a hell of a concept for a song, and Mike WiLL’s beat goes hard. ¯\_(?)_/¯. Check it out below.
The Return Of East Atlanta Santa is out 12/16 on Atlantic.
