"Ready Or Not Here I Come (Can't Hide From Love)" is an absolute classic of American music. In 1968, it was a hit for the Philly soul group the Delfonics, and it helped establish the lush, orchestral Philly soul style. In the late '90s, the Fugees had one of their biggest hits ("Ready Or Not") by interpolating it, and Missy Elliott had one of her biggest hits ("Sock It 2 Me") by sampling it. And this year, the impressive UK soul singer Laura Mvula has recorded her own sprightly version of the song, which the British department store chain House Of Frasher will use for its commercials this year.
