Hardworking San Diego death-rock outsiders Blessure Grave released the excellent Judged By 12, Carried By 6 in February, but are already at work on a new record. We have a sample of it today via an unmastered rough mix of the Death In June-esque “Wasted Time.” As Toby Grave put it, it’s “kind of a pre-single for what becomes the actual single.” And, as always, it’s excellently bleak/darkly romantic, etc.
If you’re in the NYC area, you should check out Blessure Grave 6/1 at Santos. The night’s hosted by Genesis P-Orridge and also includes White Ring, Passions, and Sabbath Assembly. It’s all ages. There’ll be a Process Church Mass/Ritual performed. Which is good for all ages. Also, while we’re in this mode, I still listen to BG’s goth/post-punk/darkwave mix (scroll) all the time. Can a mixtape with Siouxsie Sioux appear on a year-end Top 10? Sure.
