New Röyksopp – “Happy Birthday”

Röyksopp are celebrating their 10th birthday. (The Norwegian duo of Torbjørn Brundtland and Svein Berge released their first album Melody A.M. in 2001, but the guys actually got together and officially formed in 1998.) To celebrate longevity, the twosome have posted a new song, “Happy Birthday,” which opens with a sparkly loop of the title/occasion and doesn’t vary too much from the main theme over its four minutes. That said, along with the Roots’ “Birthday Girl,” it does offer another option the next time you or someone you love turns a year older. You’ll find the track over at, where you can sign-up to know when their new website launches. No word on a new full length, but maybe that new website will have an idea.
