As on past albums, Windsor For The Derby toss around post-rock, kraut rhythms, acoustic tunes, pristine melodies, and spacey guitar accouterments with organic ease on their new LP Against Love, a fine addition for afternoon drifting and sunny seasonal procrastination playlists. Yo La Tengo’s the band that came to mind after sitting with the record for a spin or two, for that general versatility and specifically for the sighed summertime breeze of “After Love” sandwiched between a pair of psych-outs with deep pockets (“Autumn Song”) and stately swell (“Queen Of The Sun”).
