Soft Cat is the folk-pop project of Texas-to-Baltimore songwriter Neil Sanzgiri and various friends. He has an achy, airy voice and surrounds himself with subtle, varied instrumentation. We’re told the eight songs on Wildspace were “conceived in the wild space behind the railroad tracks by the Copy Cat in Baltimore, MD.” One of the songs, “Blackbird,” may remind you a little bit of Horse Feathers. (As will some others.) It isn’t a Beatles cover.
A different pace via another Wildspace song,”When My Brother Reaches Me.”
