Laurel Halo – “Aquifer” & “Zoo Hypothesis”

This year Brooklyn-via-Ann Arbor synth artist Laurel Halo will release two sets of music to followup on her skewed, yet oddly immediate, 2010 EP King Felix: The six track 12″ Logic Hour comes via Hippos In Tanks on June 21st, preceded by the seven-song cassette Antenna for NNA Tapes. (There is a two song overlap between the releases.) Logic Hour is the one getting an official push (its press release cites the EP’s “pacific IDM, ambient and the techno of her native Michigan” leanings), and the one harboring the stunning, washed-out trance/techno workout “Aquifer.” Grab that, along with a rattling, sci-fi/ambient track titled “Zoo Hypothesis” from the Antenna tape, right here:
