uhh, kind of a nightmare, actually! i work a really long morning shift today, and i got suckered into unloading a HUGE truck filled with pallets of shelves and fixtures all day, and i am EXHAUSTED. now i am on my lunch and chuckling to myself because the place i'm eating is playing that stupid lumineers song, and i just keep picturing will ferrel as harry caray. after work i think i am going to pick up the black beetle hardcover that comes out today on my way home (despite being kind of broke) because i haven't bought an comics in a while and i think i earned it today.
cool story alert: the son of the owner of chef chu's directed step up 2: the streets (and the justin bieber movie) and went to prom with my ex-girlfriend's older sister.
i think the one that just says "kevin" is my favorite. (also, the one that just straight up says "deadites," which i did not notice while watching the movie.
i liked that the point of impact where he crashed into the holodeck was like thirty feet off the ground. that was quite a motorcycle jump for having no ramp and like ten feet of build-up, thor!
fran kranz was immediately my favorite character, but then i remembered that i was watching a horror movie, so i was like "r.i.p. goofy comic relief, you were an angel that marijuana'd too close to the sun," but then he was the Final Girl the whole time! #twists
one could argue that not caring about any of the dumb teens was intentional, as it falls in line with the horror movie cliches being satirized, but i see your point. i agree that the ending kind of fell flat, but i would hardly call it a "twist" in the m. night shyamalan sense.
this would be a great series, as long as we get and episode devoted to the japanese experiment, because that shit was ADORABLE.
it has been consistently been in the mid-seventies (occasionally low eighties) here for the past few weeks, and it is BULLSHIT. (very cool thing to be complaining about.) it's like the weather doesn't even know that the pumpkin spice latte is back. i'm ready for fall and cold weather and spookiness, damnit! BUT, i don't have to close at work tonight, and the tv in the sandwich shop next to my work is set to america's funniest home videos today instead of dumb old sports, so i guess we'll call today a win?
