So Drake, why wasn't she on your album? WHY?
Really wonderful cover. It's funny because I think she nailed all the Drake parts, but not quite on the Rihanna's.
ship those two to some island like the one in Lost or whatever. Jesus, they both have their heads up their asses so far that they can't realize how annoying and whiny both of them are.
I need a "Mr. World-competition" between two bands' members to make my final call on the whole "much more attractive"
For now, Martin's hair > Yorke's hair.
So apparently, Princess of China, the duet with Rihanna, is creating a massive buzz in Vietnam because of accusations about plagiarism.
Hà Trần, a notable artist in Vietnam, released a song called "Ra Ngõ Tụng Kinh" (Pray At The Valley is a general translation) in 2008, and Princess of China has a very much similar intro

Thoughts?
I really hate that cover. Shelter, to me, is all about sexual tension, and Birdy made it sound like a funeral song. The piano arrangement is totally dull too.
Anyway, some covers
The Hood Internet did a pretty great cover of VCR

Yeah. My problem with Biophillia is probably that it sounds too elegant. No tracks really grab my attention except for Crystalline's ending. But even so, the drum'n'bass used here is nothing new, and it gets old quickly. As unfocused as Volta was, that album at least has couple of songs that really make an impression (Declare Independence, Earth Intruders). I don't know if more spins will change my mind about Bio, but so far, I'm unconvinced.
Oh god, trapped in the closet is such a massive WTF. I think that's how my liking to trashy television started.
And yes, Ignition (Remix)? WHERE? Did they forget it in the kitchen?
I get that the list is Best of Popular Hits so I won't even fault them for including many tragedies such as Train, Nickelback, Ke$$$$ha, etc.
The biggest snubs here are obviously My Love by Justin/T.I and WORK IT by Missy Elliott. I mean, who doesn't love Work It? You can quote that song foreverrrrrrrrr.
I was at his concert last week, and during this moment when all the bass was so crazy that I thought I was on another planet, I just yelled out "what hair product do you use?"
yeah, i'm glad my voice was inaudible.
I love those twos so much (both are in my favorite albums of 2011), and I thought this would be mind-blowing gorgeous or something. After several spins, all I can say is the song is pretty bad.
Justin's vocals are usually great, but somehow the way Blake produced them doesn't quiet work. Drowned in the Klavierwerke-era beat, Justin sounds disconnected and "cold". Meanwhile, Blake doesn't really bring anything new to the table, production-wise, so I lost my interest really fast. The thing those two have in common is sometimes they create a "mood' or probably an ambient effect (to me at least) and I can just let myself sink in. This song has none of that, and the melodies aren't even pretty or memorable. I would like to hear those two beautiful voices harmonizing on a ballad though. With bass like Limit To Your Love, maybe.
Agreed. The album doesn't impress me much on the first spin, but the last two tracks (single How Deep and the soul-throwback It Takes Time) are amazing.
