Seems like they were inspired by reworking Love Like a Sunset for Somewhere, which is pretty minimalistic and and not very poppy in that iteration. I'm sure it'll be great.
This may have been an over reaction. Also I know it's Lindsay. That must be annoying, huh? People on the internet spelling your name wrong? Oh well. I'm gonna go have a breakdown in real life.
I said this on twitter then deleted it because of lack of nerve, but honestly a Gabe-cation from what? Your job is internet, lol. Watching funny cat videos? Making fun of rich people? WHO'S A RICH PERSON NOW, MR. HOLIDAY?!
But seriously, if you get vacations from working at home trolling the internet for youtubes and animated gifs and other goofs, SIGN ME UP. All I'm saying is that Gabe is super rich and entitled and we're all just feeding his EgoGum.
(Vacations that are probably because they fired poor Lindsey who's freelancing and writing for Yahoo! or something? Is that a thing? In 2011?)
Just downvote me already.
I haven't seen that thing, but that monkey's right. I could try and be funny but if I can be accurate about who is playing the-girl-from-the-books-I-never-read-but-will-see-the-American-adaptation-of-because-it's-directed-by-David Fincher, then I can do anything.
I vote to rename this Contrarian Corner.
"M.I.A.'s record is actually genius, you idiots!"
"Yeezy ain't so hot."
"Ugh, The Suburbs? I mean, come on."
Coming up next week: The Beatles, Do We Need 'Em?
Agreed, but he's also sort of socially inept in general.
When he was on Conan to promote 808s he told him he needed to pee in the middle of the interview. That's not caution towards the media, that's someone ill equipt to be on television in that capacity. Which again, is fine, but he'd be better off if he just let the music speak for him.
On a side note though, there's always been a disturbing tendency for older white men to talk down to Kanye, whether it be Lauer or Leno, they both treat him like a "bad child" and it's insulting to watch a grown man be talked to like that. He's right when he points out they're doing all that "TV stuff" because in the simplistic moral realm of TV, you have a breakdown followed by public apology and redemption. None of which are neccesary for a guy who said something emotional after a tragedy (something that's far easier to defend than Bush's inaction) and did a dumb thing at an awards show.
His talk show is available (in full) online and is worth seeing.
I saw it when it aired, and I was far to young to understand anything but I loved it and then saw him on Conan a few years later playing the piano, bearded and laughed so hard it hurt.
The final few episodes, after Galifianakis knows the show is cancelled, are among the weirdest and funniest hours of TV I've ever seen.
Also the movie's pretty good.
That Laura Marling recording is great. I like her album but it definitely feels like it lacks a good producer. Maybe White will producer her next record? That would be great.
If Dinner for Schmucks was on DVD or Blu-Ray (Or DVD/Blu-Ray Combo pack with Digital Download for your PSP) then that would be my monination but itsn't so Icant.
This seems to be made up of outtakes and pieces from "Go Quiet" the film Deblois made for Jonsi's special edition of the album. Worth tracking down legally or otherwise.
