I am curious what the response to this would be if it was someone not Arcade Fire.
This is kinda stupid. If it was a recommended thing it'd be one thing but they're making it seem like they're not cool with you coming to their show if you aren't in formal attire. I like to be as comfortable as possible when I'm at a concert. I'd rather not sweat through a suit dancing to the jamz
I think he's just an introvert. He comes across as really shy in interviews a lot but he's also extremely passionate about the things that he loves: music, design, fashion, Kim. That's why sometimes what he says doesn't really make a lot of sense. I don't think he's a good public speaker at all, he gets nervous like any of us would. I think remembering that he started as a producer instead of a rapper is important to remember as well. Basically Kanye is a very complex person and I don't think he can be put in a label like "humble" or "egotistical" and leave it at that. For every video you can find of Kanye being a dick or being hostile you can find something like this or the video where he's asking Pharrell a question doing a Q&A.
You think Mike G is the second best rapper in OF Tom? Interesting. I'm more inclined to pick out Domo and Tyler over Mike.
Oh cool another band I like skips Dallas.
"Paula Deen, we in the kitchen, nigga" is probably the best thing Rocko is ever going to say.
Is your boss Kid Cudi?
There was a lot of internet outrage to that video.
She's really creeping me out with all those herky-jerky dance moves. Good performance though, Team is a great song, I fully expect it to blow the fuck up very soon.
Miley does LDR better than LDR does LDR.
The theft of their work? Get the fuck outta here with that nonsense. Lyric sites don't pass off the lyrics as their own, no one is claiming to have written the lyrics that are posted on those sites, they're there so people have easy access to the lyrics of their favorite songs. This issue is made even more stupid by the fact that many artists don't even provide the lyrics to their albums with the albums! Where are you supposed to go to find the lyrics for your favorite song if the album that you paid for doesn't have the lyrics included and you can't go to a lyric website? I understand that artist's want to make money off their work but this is getting fucking ridiculous.
This is so stupid I don't even have anything to say.
I also like how you spent half the "Slayer" entry talking shit about MGMT.
Really? You actually thought you were gonna see desert in Austin? You've never seen anything online or on TV or in movies that tells you not everyone in Texas rides horses around the deserts and ropes cattle?
Cause the video really goes into explaining that.
No mention of his work with Theophilus London? I've always been pretty fond of Flying Overseas.
I don't know if I'd call this "gleeful". It was kind of lame to me. Something just seems really inauthentic and fake about a dude from suburban Toronto surrounded by little poor kids from Memphis saying "MUHFUCKAS NEVA LUH'D US" I'm also not a huge fan of the song though.
Finally some Isaiah Rashad coverage! Really excited to see what he's got in store for us.
This thing was the soundtrack to my 95. No, it was the soundtrack to my 95 AND my 96.
All I know is that it's way better than Tom thinks it is.
Am I the only one who is really fucking tired of Wayne Coyne?
Reminds me of Kanye's "Welcome to Heartbreak" video.
This is pretty great and I'm only on the third track.
Isn't it bizarre that if Don't Front, the Call of Duty exclusive bonus track, is better than almost all of the standard album?
Having seen Cut Copy live on the Zonoscope tour I would pay damn good money to see them again playing these new songs. Album is fantastic, one of my favorites of the year.
It's almost like people have different opinions on music.
I'd say that Eminem is a vastly more talented individual than Axl is.
Can you seriously criticize Macklemore for winning that award? Really it would've been more of a shame if he DIDN'T win that award. The internet/indie/blog circlejerk of Macklemore hate is getting pretty silly.
Eminem is hardly the only rapper Stereogum covers that is blatantly misogynistic and homophobic.
Or listen to it yourself and make a judgment on it instead of listening to some guy who writes for some website?
Kendrick is pretty much untouchable right now. Hopefully he doesn't oversaturate the market with his features but I think he's doing a good job of balancing mainstream and underground features.
Good Lord that was an unrelenting assault on this album that I didn't really think said much about it. Most of the tracks aren't even discussed and you didn't really go into much detail about anything here Tom. Pretty shocked that you actually think this is WORSE than Recovery. I would think songs like Bad Guy, Rhyme or Reason, Brainless, Legacy and Evil Twin would warrant it being better than Recovery, but apparently not. We've come to the point now where Em is at the point where nothing he does is going to please everyone. Everyone wishes we could have 2000 Eminem back but that guy doesn't exist anymore. And when he tries to bring that back we talk about how it seems fake and he should stop because he's an adult now. But then when he gets away from the old Em we complain about how we wish the old Em was still here. Also Tom, please STAHP with the Meek Mill. I've never seen such a big Meek fuckin Mill stan on any website.
I'm surprised the indie community hasn't embraced blink 182 yet. I give it two more years tops before we start seeing articles about how great Dude Ranch is.
This is pretty great, like everything Bronsolino does
His next album will be 15 tracks, each track titled after a different Raptors player.
This is a good song but it really shows how much more promising the Underacheivers and Zombies are than Joey. Weird how much Summer Knights killed his buzz and hype.
