Gabe, you can't keep making new categories. I'm sorry, but you're fired.
VampiresSuck is OTM, Beyonce was the only thing worth watching on this show. I'm really starting to get pissed off at how mediocre it's becoming. Seriously, you guys, it's 2k8.11. Naked men are not funny anymore. Semi- or naked men ceased being funny after that Chippendales sketch, at which point it should have been retired. How was the Beyonce sketch funny, exactly? Oh right, get it, the dancers are MEN. MEN WEARING LITTLE CLOTHING. LOLOLOL. Wait, they're supposed to be attractive women, but instead it's MEN. WHOA. How fucking simple-minded. Anyway, besides B killing it on stage, the only parts of this show worth watching were the Biden open and Weekend Update. The kissing family was alright. UGH SNL.
All of you guys better be watching this show, because if it gets canceled, I'm killing myself and it'll be all your faults!
yeah, i was hoping it was some kind of reference as well. i unapologetically love 3eb, so I'm reserving judgment
I think Jingle JAIL just got a little more crowded (see what I did there?)
beauty and the beast was good on broadway! i didnt know hugh was doing this, but ROFL
Simon is so mean, you guys!
No, rather we should all understand that we're all the same, which is why everyone should have the same rights. I agree with what you're saying, but the semantics of "embracing difference" are problematic I think. (I'm straight, fwiw.)
okay, ben affleck is taking this too far now
Gotta love how this mike dude cares about his stereogum thread reputation enough to make 20 posts to save face. anyway, like i said above, this is cool if youve never heard the record before (then by all means buy it, cos it's great), but most of us already have the record on our hard drives, so why would i spend four bucks for a second digital form of something i've already got?
It shows you how mediocre SNL has been recently that this hasn't been done to death yet. I could write a timeless sketch based on this. And I'm illiterate!
Yeah this is great and all, but I'd much rather spend money on a B1000 vinyl (if they are in print anymore).
When you say the best catchphrase, you meant the worst, right? Of course it isn't a surprise that a show that rips off The Apprentice so much would jack its only otherwise funny line if it was funny which it isnt but might be funny because of that? line from Entourage. Hope you followed that.
hahahahahaha i'm sure the people who promoted this thing are thrilled about that. he's the best though
I hate to be the voice of reason, because no one likes reason, but that sex tips sketch was one of the most unwatchable things I've seen on the show in a while. And believe me, being a fan of Thompson's earlier, (admittedly for 10 year olds) more up his alley work like Kenan and Kel and Good Burger, it pains me to admit that that sketch was really borderline offensively bad. I almost pity the guy, because he finally gets a five minute sketch to himself, which never happens (because let's face it, he's the worst), and it bombed. It really was cringe-worthy.
what the fuck @ that last video. not only was that the lamest category ever, (not to mention katy perry is depressingly uncharasmatic), but most of the people there didn't even get the whole rick roll thing. and did katy perry really just make a "what, what, in the butt" reference? shut up, katie perry.
He had to have been joking (this time, I mean), right? Anderson Cooper can do on wrong in my eyes.
This is the cutest little girl ever. Her parents have like a million videos of her on vimeo too, apparently. Can Obama pick her as Secretary of Cuteness?
bob pollard is pumped
nevermind, i know now and it's embarassing!
who is the actor in the beginning of that video?
Gabe, you still think Anderson Cooper is the best though, right?
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=iJvvVvhPPWQ Did I do good? Do I get a job at Videogum now?
yeah radio sucks man! underground 4 lyfe!!1!
Hey you guys, remember when everyone got all worked up over a joke? Lol, we were so silly. Thank god we grew up, right?
there's no way gabe likes DPS. and if i remember correctly, while trying to wade through the 500 comment thread someone did nominate it earlier this week. so maybe!
also, the inclusion of "distortions" makes me very very happy
I love his faux-"Siskel & Ebert" intro
SM s the whitest man alive, but god do I love him.
Sorry guys, but the only part of this week that was somewhat watchable was parts of the Olbermann sketch. David Cook?
what the fuck was he doing at the SNL afterparty?
Paul Rudd and Beyonce is going to be the best show of the year. A host and musical guest I've been wanting forever
why is everything in italics??? anyway, this record is pretty darn good, and "Alina's Place" is one of my favorite songs of the year
