She was always young at heart, kinda dumb, and kinda smart
I listen to each once...but I don't want to skew a poll too much with my dislike of modern hiphop
I could include it thought do you think Amanda is a rock song? I also didn't include "I wanna know what love is" and "I can't help this feeling". for the same reason. do you think i should?
I agree with the Reflex. Wild Boys didn't hit #1 in the US
actually, i just like the conversation! so we are both right. :) This comes back to my argument with "Classic Rock" formats that a song like "Beat it" "Let's Go Crazy" "Faith" or "Black Cat" deserve to be played on those formats. Even if the artist isn't considered "Rock"...the song is rock.
just guessing...probably having 2 videos may have stopped it from posting the first few times
I love this song, but for the life of me, i've never gotten all the lyrics right. They come out jumbled whenever I've tried.
i love this song! STARS is a favorite band of mine. Unfortunately, Amy and the Stars twitter accounts blocked me last year. WHatever happened to Canadians always apologizing all the time. i got to meet them once before a show. They signed my CD copy of "In Our Bedroom After the War" and Amy signed my copy of "Honey from the Tombs". i wonder if they will put out any new music in the future
you just made me think of "SOUL MAN" both by Sam & Dave and then the Blues Brothers...they shout out, "PLay it Steve" to Steve Cropper. and then he does :)
Linda Ronstadt's version of Blue Bayou is simply stunning. so, I just watched the Carrie Underwood version... and two things are wrong with it. The band's pace is just way to slow. and she's very sharp.
it's fun to know I don't know any of these songs...and sad. if i don't know the song i'm not gonna vote on those
with your well thought out idea...Then I submit that Kiss is about RnR as "I Need You Tonight" or "Let's Dance"
Here's my thinking... Starting over has the elvis, doo-wop thing going, and that's rock and roll. It ain't hard rock, but it's not plain pop. Some songs were iffy to me... and I'm on the fence about them, but I'd certainly listen to this play list.
That's a good call. Definitely should be on the list
See RollerBoogie's thread above and add this one to it.
Do not touch George's biscuits or Tea. I thought about mentioning any songs that have someone shout out to the guitarist like Ringo or when Paul did it on "Junior's Farm" to Jimmy McCullough. But like you it didn't say "guitar".
I thought about this. And it's a fine line. Is there any difference between Kiss and some of the Stones songs like "Miss You" or "Emotional Rescue"?
STEREOGUM hates edits. I also missed "Jump"
