Oh man. I hate hate HATED this movie. Vile filth that’s like 90 minutes long and feels twice that.
Spoilers for a ten year old movie!
I do wish there was a version of the film with Jewel’s scoring vision realized, but Ryan is right that it’s the pop songs that stand out most. My one quibble with the film is the very end, I always thought it would make for a better ending if the Driver simply died in his car.
The moment when the quiet of Don’t Walk Away transitions into the super loud of More is the best part of any album this year.
She should research her husband’s rap sheet
Year of the Tiger key change is God level
100000%. I converted quite a few hesitant friends based on her show.
Also wish she hadn’t disappeared up her own ass (figuratively and, in the case of Masseduction, literally) but that’s neither here nor there
This was my number one album of last decade. Great songwriting, great musicianship, incisive, insightful, mysterious, all the positives. Wish this type of “indie rock” sound was still prominent.
Was never a huge Jay fan outside of the singles, but this album is undeniable. I’ll disagree with Tom and say this is clearly his best, or tied for one with the Black Album maybe. This gets the edge because it intro’d me to Kanye.
Fat Colin Farrell >>>>>>>>
Based on her IG posts, it seems like this album will be primarily piano focused. My body is ready.
Damn I wish I was this cool in high school, or ever
Meeting up with some longtime friends to see them on Friday in the most beautiful venue in North America. Can't think of better reintroduction to the concert life.
I was being facetious, but not obvious enough! I do wish I could listen to Kid A again for the first time. Amnesiac… I’m good every couple of years I think.
Never heard of these albums. Time to dive in 😇
What a statement. Also… yes, please be on the new Kendrick album.
