Well you took it to the extreme, Mr. Cornell, but in that case I wouldn't be upset that I'm not making any money off of it. I'd just be sad that someone was such a dick to me. Still, the idea that it's "your creative work" seems like a fiction. Yes, I am the direct cause of the production of the work, but I don't think I deserve so much credit that I get to claim ownership over it. Also, it might be a disincentive to create for a lot of people, I'm sure...but I don't think those people are creating for the most awesome of reasons.
Opossum's thoughts.
Something about the very notion of "intellectual property" strikes me as not awesome. It's like patenting a gene. Make nature manifest but don't try to own it.
Protect the muse from advanced capitalism and Cracker!
Opossum out.
One of the better National songs I've heard in a while.
And Hunger games soundtrack looks like a list of watered down indie accessible zzzzzz.....
Opossum zzzzzz
I could go for a mango pickle. I miss good Weezy. Ulysses is a tough book to read.
Shout out to The Modern Lovers.
Also, I'm a member of the Wilcannia Mob. I make one of the more unpleasant background noises in the song. Mia said it would make it more artsy.

Answers to questions posed by lobster dog:
1. no one wants to hear the Fun collab...I hope.
2. the orginal Em would say "fuck nah" to a radio friendly song with Bruno Mars, but the orginal Em has been gone for so long that to expect his return just because of this album title/artwork seems naive. This is the dude we've had for a decade now. Accepted as part of the last decade, these singles aren't all that terrible (relatively speaking). I also find this weirdly intriguing...
3. I got that he wants to "help people" from interview stuff, his commentary on songs like "Not Afraid," his general vibe / acceptance of pop radio, etc. He wants to inspire confidence and happiness in others rather than relate inner angst (relatively). More power to him, even if his philosophy seems to lack depth.
Hmm, IDK back at ya. He's done worse, like some of the stuff from Encore and Recovery. I don't feel like he's doing anything spectacular anymore, but he's still talented in certain regards. But I guess his early records really set the bar high. He's too positive now and wants to "help people." Bleh!
