Who are you monsters who are downvoting this comment for an adult never having consumed this children's product? Just because Gabe is 61 and reads/watches this crap doesn't mean we all should.
Hell in that Tim Burton movie 9, the characters ARE floppy sack masks. And if you wanted to expand to video games, there's Sackboy in Little Big Planet.
Every writer cannibalizes their own lives for their writing. You're lucky in that it's only the pop-culture part of your life, not your friendships or family or sex life or any of the other potentially more affecting areas of your personal life.
Because nothing says "I am a serious musician, I take my art seriously and so should you" like playing a glowing crystal piano while shaking your ass in the air. On a daytime lady's talk show.
In all fairness to Jimmy, most people watching probably had no idea who Tim and Eric are, and what they do is VERY hard to explain without sounding like an idiot.
Also, Tim doing that high-pitched yell/laugh is one of my favorite things. Second on the list is now The Roots covering "Sports"
Really? I think the AD pilot is probably in their top 5 best episodes in their whole run and is pretty LOLable right off the bat. I'm also pretty sure I found WHAS funny the first time around. The reason I probably think these things is because they're both hilarious.
Maybe it's just NBC Thursday night comedy pilots that suck. 30 Rock's pilot was uneven, The Office made the very bad decision of doing the first episode of The Office UK basically word for word. I can't speak for Kath and Kim or My Name is Earl, but I can't imagine they had stellar pilot episodes either.
Aziz said on his blog he thinks that the second episode is stronger, so I guess we'll see. Here's hopin'.
Why are we not talking about the "what lies in the shadow of the statue?" or whatever that line was? What the hell was that all about? Are those guys secret former Losties or Others or something? They clearly know some shit.
I thought the whole Ben/Ceasar/Locke thing was interesting, because it showed that Ben knew all along that his endgame was to kill Ceasar to garner Locke's trust or apologize or whatever. We rarely get to see all sides of Ben's game and who he's playing and how.
The Prank War is where I first started to appreciate CH's brand of humor. Their original content has really started to kick ass over the last year or so.
