I dig the Mylo Xyloadofshit pun.
Remember when Coldplay was hinting at a very stripped down album after Viva la Vida that they even teased would be released in 2009? These ("Midnight" & "Magic") sound like they could be the tunes/album that they were referring too.
Too little Picaresque, namely "The Infanta" and "16 Military Wives." This totally put The Decemberists on my radar again, though.
Love that Giorgio interview. But the music has been pretty underwhelming thus far.
The name Bankrupt! and this cover are totally dissonant tonally.
This song just sounds hokey. The synth is goofy. The falsetto isn't that strong and seems fall too low in the mix. Pretty meh. Not too sold on it. Sounds like a Phrazes for the Young b-side (forgot how fucking cool that album was).
This is by far one of the better, if not the best list, I've seen thus far.
Fascinating stuff guys, was wondering about this myself ever since I heard "Home" in the Trouble With the Curve" trailer.
Remember hearing a lot of these jams at Coachella 2011 and just thinking how fucking cool they would sound recorded and produced. It is safe to say, they are well beyond my expectations.
The song is a grower. Hated it at first, but now I'm digging it a little. The album art is pretty lame though. Really lame, actually.
I actually rather enjoy the album art.
I actually like the name, but it gives off a totally different connotation, which I think will hurt them. When they were testing new material out last summer, I rather enjoyed the stuff I heard. Still had that classic 60s pop sound with some added R&B flavor. This mixtape is iffy though.
Awesome to see Bloc Party back! Weird to see Franz Ferdinand's name so small.
This song is great. Come on guys, has some 'Consolers of the Loney' style to it. Loving this.
One of my favorite Radiohead songs in awhile. Reminds me of Amnesiac or Hail To the Thief era.
Humbug, no love for 'Amor Fati'. That was my 2K11 jam hands down.
The lack of Panda Bear on lists so far is kinda surprising.
