Not really close to topping The Seer for Album of the year, but still pretty fucking good. better than Vecktimest, for sure.
If anyone here has the chance to see Refused, do it. Went to a concert of theirs Wednesday in Portland and they were fucking incredible.
yup, I'd say Through Silver in Blood is my favorite of theirs. Excited for Honor Found in Decay.
In Monument Valley, with Clint Eastwood, Henry Fonda, and Robert De Niro having epic gunfights in the front row.
scratch that, Sergio Leone and Godspeed You Black Emperor
Frederico Fellini and Godspeed you black emperor Or maybe Ozu would be better for that.
I need to listen to more converge.
I saw these guys at a free music fest in Portland, they were fucking great, it's nice to see them getting some national attention.
probably the best album I've heard in the past few years, definitely the most intense. Also, since Tom mentioned Neurosis, did anyone else notice that they have a new album coming out October 30th? I saw it on their website, but I haven't seen it announced on here.
If the world really ends in 2012, then this will be the perfect soundtrack.
this is the best album I've heard in the past few years and all of you complaining about how other albums deserve to be picked instead need to check this one out. also, since Tom mentioned Neurosis, did anyone else realize that they have a new album coming out soon? cause I just realized that and I haven't seen it mentioned anywhere.
love fugazi, this is really tough because they've never really made a bad album. can the next one of these lists be Swans, since they've got a new album coming out and a ridiculously large catalog that I'm just now starting to delve into.
one of my top 10 favorite albums, hands down. just an amazing band and an amazing album
I guess Dinosaur Jr. sort of counts too, even though the dinosaurs are extinct.
between this album and The Seer, there's going to be some fucking incredible music coming out the next two weeks.
this is some kung-fu soundtrack groove right here.
exactly same situation here, I doubted this album, but holy shit this is good.
monkey riches is awesome. loving the visuals.
deserves a premature evaluation so we can all talk over how fucking incredible this album is.
hope everyone comes out of this accident ok. Yeallow & Green was fantastic.
Holy Shit! Just heard the whole album from a leak and it is fucking incredible. Album of the Year candidate for sure.
why is this article so hidden?
it was so good that you guys had to break the premature evaluation rule! but yeah, this is right around the top for me as far as albums go this year.
the greatest line-up of exclamations in Rap, including the grunt, the wooo!, and that "rozay!' shout.
a bit late, but this one is a fucking monster. I can dig it.
I'm not sure, but I always felt like Def Jux was supposed to be a vital antidote to the rest of underground rap and the whole obsession with the past and old-school shit.
As soon as she starts talking about how it's impossible that anyone would want to live anywhere else but California, I just have to turn that shit off. Get the fuck out of my ears with your goddamn tourist slogans, and fuck the Lakers. If I could get past that, maybe I'd like this, but I'm tired of hearing about goddamn southern california.
the title makes so much sense. this is pretty much the essence of "celebration rock"
ok, but I don't have a record player. so i have to settle for internet tracks.
she's making songs that reflect her live shows right now, which have more heavy guitar versions of her LP stuff. I really like the direction, but that's more a matter of personal taste. Her live show rocks.
dude, they put out a whole bunch of music on record store day. no shit there's going to be a whole bunch of articles so you can hear all that music.
I feel like it's just a bit too close to the original. I was hoping for something a bit more adventurous with it.
I miss those times when the Blazers were good. This gif is so great.
