Especially gross because if he really did go through with playing Rocky, that means that he would have had a super sexual scene with Rachel where they would have to feel each other up. Totally inappropriate for a teacher. Schuester became totally unlikable for me last night and he's going to need a biiiig redemption arc for me to get back on board.
I totally agree with you about numbers 1 and 2, although the movie redeemed itself for me in so many ways with the "Expectations vs. Reality" sequence. I thought that was so clever! Also, Joseph Gordon Levitt is totally cute, so it has that going for it.

Can we discuss Peggy and Ken landing the Topaz Pantyhouse account all by themselves? In an episode where Don goes insane, it kind of fell by the wayside, but I thought it was such a great way to wrap up Peggy's arc for this season. Also, more Ken. Cosgrove. Accounts., please.
My fantasy "Mad Men" plot - Dr. Rapist gets blown up in Vietnam, Roger leaves Jane (in a totally civil way and not at all like how Don broke up with Faye) and together he and Joan have an adorable little family that zings people left and right.
"Well, I learned a long time ago not to get all my satisfaction from this job." "THAT'S BULLSHIT." Ugh, I love the two of them.

So it doesn't air on Thursdays, but whatever - are any of you guys watching "Children's Hospital"? I'm obsessed. I thought their take on "Do The Right Thing" last week was awesome.
Kissing Jessica Einstein (I'll show myself out.)
That was supposed to be a response to lizlemon. BLERG.
I'm gonna preface this with a POSSIBLE SPOILER ALERT I thought I read somewhere over the summer that Ryan Murphy was either going to get rid of Artie or Puck, and they would have to reaudition or something. Which is kind of weird and probably a joke, but if it is true and they did get rid of him, that's sort of lame.
Maybe I'm slow, but why exactly was that offensive? Because he's dressed like a priest? I don't know "Glee", you can work a lot harder than that to be offensive.
I've been looking forward to your recap! This episode was pretty enjoyable, and the songs were great - "Sing!" was just flat out adorable, and I kind of want to watch "Le Jazz Hot" every day for the next year. I'm still a little hung up on the clunky writing (don't just have Rachel telling us how she came to this realization about her awfulness - show it! TV Writing 101!), but I think the rest of the show was so enjoyable that it didn't really matter for this episode. ALSO ROCKY HORROR NEXT WEEK. Rachel as Janet is perfect. Did anyone catch who they had playing Magenta and Columbia?
You guys, this weekend I went to the New York Comic-Con (you guessed it, I am a major nerd), and the guy who plays Big Bird, Caroll Spinney, was there signing autographs and taking pictures! I was so excited to get a photo with him - I watched "Sesame Street" when I was a kid and I still think the show is great. Yay childhood!
She needs a child psychologist to figure out her issues. That sums up the character pretty well.
Also, is that guy really that short in real life? When he came up to Don's office to get fired it looked like they made Jon Hamm stand on a box or something.
Remember the season premiere, and how shiny and new the SCDP offices looked, and how psyched everyone was? It makes this episode that much more sad when you compare it to the optimism that this season started with. It's definitely not how I expected this season to turn out. Also, I want to put Pete Campbell's blue suit in a museum.
"Nothing bad ever happens to the Kennedys!"
I really liked how in the "Glee" sketch the writers tried to incorporate some Sue Sylvesterisms and none of them even came close to how good they are on the show. But overall I thought it was an okay episode and she seemed game for it, which I think makes a huge difference.
If it's a Thursday night and I'm home from work in time, I will park my butt on the couch for "Community", "30 Rock", "The Office", and probably "It's Always Sunny" and "The League" (which KILLED this week, by the way. Bring back Raffi ASAP). I'll DVR "Project Runway" and "Jersey Shore" for the weekend. Thursdays are HARD, y'all.
Gotta hand it to the gang, that really is a good idea. Minus the wine teeth.
This reminds me of the time my friend and I decided we were going to try to make a Grilled Charlie ("peanut butter outside, chocolate inside, butter inside, cheese outside!") but abandoned it in the planning stages because we had no idea how to pull it off. And it would probably be disgusting. In short, don't get cooking ideas from sitcoms.
Aaaaand now it's stuck in my head again. Thanks for that!
When I think back, it seems that the adult relationships on this show are pretty much sexless (except for the awesome episode where Claire and Phil go out on Valentines Day). I can't remember Gloria or Jay kissing. And yet we still consider them a valid, loving couple. It just proves how good the writing on this show is - we don't need to see them making out in order to believe they love each other. It shows in their conversations and interactions.
Faye Dunaway looked so badass in this movie. I wish I could pull off a scarf and a beret like that.
I'm kind of not looking forward to that particular WMOAT because even though that last line was awful, I really did like that movie. I thought the "Expectations/Reality" sequence was great.
You know, I was really enjoying that movie until the last line. Like, if my enjoyment level was at an 8, it brought it down to a 6.5. Because REALLY?
I couldn't believe they couldn't think of ONE Britney Spears song for the Rachel embarassing cry-fest at the end. Come on, Ryan Murphy, dig deep (not too deep, "Sometimes" would have worked)!
I know the photo you're talking about and Matthew Weiner is notoriously anti-spoiler so I don't think that he would let such a massive plot point like that be photographed, so I like to think that particular person was wearing something that only resembled that shirt. Also, that plot development would just break my heart.
This movie has Zach Galifianakis, the gay son from "United States of Tara", and features my favorite Broken Social Scene song in the trailer. It doesn't have to try so hard to get me to go see it!
Could we get a campaign going to get Jon Hamm an Emmy? It worked for Betty White and every guest spot on television.
There are so many shots in this show that I want to just blow up and frame on my wall, that one of Joan being one of them. The shot of Joan, Peggy, and Faye in the elevator last week is another one.
What, did you go to a special bitch academy or something? (Did we just turn this into a "Center Stage" quote comment thread? Yes, yes we did.)
YES I DID. Maureen, the best goddamn dancer in the American Ballet Academy!
I'm gonna be SUPER pissed if Don sleeps with his secretary. He's got a good thing going with Dr. Faye, and now that he's spilled his secret I'll be really disappointed if he just drops her. Also, I liked how it seemed that Betty was really happy for Sally and towards Don for arranging the concert tickets. Not even Betty can be mad about The Beatles! Maybe that's part of the reason why she cut him some slack later on when the FBI was questioning her.
