Any truth to the rumor that Modest Mouse set will be a Don’t Look Back day and has them performing The Moon and Antarctica in its entirety? It’s the albums 10th anniversary this year, afterall.

    • well, MM is set for Friday (the day they’ve traditionally done Don’t Look Back) but they said something about it being a longer day this year, so who knows.

That would be absolutely incredible. If this is true, I might scalp my Sunday (read: Pavement) tickets in favor of a 3 day pass.

thank god pitchfork is helping modest mouse and pavement get their names out there.

  3. That is when my summer opens up. This is going to be a good festival

  4. I was there for Flaming Lips last year…pretty disappointed in the setlist considering it was to be an “all request” show…they ended up doing an extremely normal setlist with two or three sort of random songs. Plus the strict curfew was a let down as well.

By the way, pitchfork fest brings out the biggest parodies of indie music listeners I just might have ever seen.

I agree the Flaming Lips were a disappointment last year considering it was ‘all request’.

The festival as a whole is still really awesome and it was the third or fourth time I had been to one put on by p4k. It is well put together with good options for food, cheap water and the beer is reasonable. The line up looks stellar thus far. Sometimes the curfew is a bummer, but after about 12 hours of music, I am generally okay with it.

I dare you to fine a festival that doesn’t have as many ‘parody’ type music listeners period. I would rather put up with this one that 40,000 more jocko type people all day long any day annoying the crap out of me.
