Various Artists - Holidays Rule

It’s almost Halloween, and you know what that means: It’s Christmastime! And just so we won’t be caught without appropriate music for the occasion, tomorrow, Starbucks’ Hear Music and Concord Music Group will release the compilation Holidays Rule, on which a slew of modern acts cover a slew of seasonal classics. The names include Rufus Wainwright and Sharon Van Etten doing “Baby It’s Cold Outside,” Eleanor Friedberger doing “Santa Bring My Baby Back To Me,” and Andrew Bird doing “Auld Lang Syne,” alongside more than a dozen others. Among them, the Shins deliver a faithful “Wonderful Christmastime,” which we’ve got for you to stream right now. Check out the song, as well as the full Holidays Rule tracklist, below.
