Jonny Pierce, frontman for major-label indie-poppers the Drums, is going solo next year, releasing an album that he wrote, recorded, and produced entirely by himself. The first song we’ve heard from the LP is a glimmering, surprisingly hypnotic synthpop track called “I Didn’t Realise.” This is the last guy I would’ve expected to release something even vaguely dub-inflected, but there it is. In the song’s video, we see Pierce drunkenly weaving around an alleyway. Watch it below.
