Foxygen - We Are the 21st Century Ambassadors Of Peace & Magic

Earlier this week, LA’s Foxygen released a video full of off-kilter whimsy for their song “San Francisco”. Today, we get more material from their upcoming We Are the 21st Century Ambassadors Of Peace & Magic with “No Destruction.” Vocalist Sam France has no qualms about showing his west coast enthusiasm as he continues to reference northern California and even sings, “There’s no need to be an asshole / You’re not in Brooklyn anymore.” Check it out below.

We Are the 21st Century Ambassadors Of Peace & Magic is out 1/22 on Jagjaguwar.

  1. This album is pretty great.

  2. If Bob Dylan got trapped in a Cornershop after walking the Pavement for days, this is the song he would make.

  3. At first I was not so excited about Foxygen’s change in style, going from Their Satanic Majesties Request to something more Dylan (not the biggest leap, but still noticeable), however this song really won me over. Definitely excited to see them in a month with Unkown Mortal Orchestra.

  4. i like this song – but now i expect a Brooklyn indie to come back with a diss track. Indie music needs some coastal war realness.
