Random Access Memories

Yesterday we told you about newly confirmed details for the forthcoming Daft Punk record, Random Access Memories, out May 21st on Columbia imprint Daft Life Limited. In advance of the record, Daft Punk had released a 15-second audio clip as a commercial during SNL earlier this month. Last night they followed it up with another commercial clip. Check it out below.

  1. Trying to nail down that coveted Adam Levine rerun watching demo.

  2. Go home everyone! Listen on repeat! There is nothing productive anyone can do today!

  3. Am I crazy, or are they saying ‘we’re all just Mexican monkeys’

  4. Ok this is going to be way better than human after all

  5. That’s gotta be Nile Rodgers (Chic) playing that super-funky guitar on the longer clip. Very exciting.

  6. Ok. So I’m prepared to be overreacting, but the two little clips on the commercials appear to be from the same song. Some would say that not tipping your hand here is the smart move and I would be one of them, but that’s mostly because those two 15-second snippets of music are the COOLEST DAMN THING I’ve heard in like 10 years.

I am so ridiculously excited for this album.

    • Consider this proven, i played the two of them simultaneously, theyre the same chord changes and bass line, the newer one is just the epic built up part later in the song.
      Case Closed.

  7. haha, i’ve known about the album title since yesterday and only just now understand the joke
