Pearl Jam - "Mind Your Manners"

We just got the announcement of Pearl Jam’s new album, Lightning Bolt, and now, the first single (and album opener), “Mind Your Manners.” In traditional Pearl Jam lead-single style, the thing is a total charger, and the clean, radio-ready sound suggests Lightning Bolt will resemble last album Backspacer more than, say, Binaural. Listen now and check out tour dates below.

  1. There recent albums have been pretty hit or miss but hot damn if their singles aren’t always great!

  2. New life goal: Convince Pearl Jam to headline a DIY punk show in my dingy ass basement.

  3. Instrumentally it kind of reminds me of a slower “Spin the Black Circle”

  4. Somewhere on the radar between early AFI and OFF! I could see the latter opening up for them on their forthcoming tour.

  5. motorrrhead!! to me they’re a super consistent band …. if something isn’t great it’s usually atleast really good.

  6. FUCK YES, THIS ROCKS!

  7. the production is WONDERFUL. the drums so much better here than the last record, the snare especially.

  8. That guitar solo is gnarly. McCready’s best in awhile.

  9. The artwork and music makes me believe this is leading to a Pearl Jam/Bad Religion tour that will solve all of the world’s problems.

  10. I needed this today. Nothing better than Pearl Jam when they’re re-energized.

And then I didn’t see a Detroit date. Aw, nuts!

  11. I am pleased that the ‘jam still got dat touch!
